Repel 55% Deet Insect Repellent

If you have sensitive skin we would advise you to opt for one of our deet free repellents as they are much better for those with sensitive skin. They are also proven to be just as effective as 50% formulas and are safe to use on children over 2 years.

Repel 55 is suitable for use on older children. In the case of infants you will need to consider the risk of insect bourne disease where you are travelling. If the risk is high this should override the relatively low risk posed by deet products. Another factor to consider is the maturity of the child, are they likely to put their fingers in their mouths? If so, Repel 55 would not be the best option! In general lower strength deet products can be just as effective as stronger ones providing more frequent applications are made.
