Yes the lock shank is small enough to fit through the holes on zip pullers so you can seal your bag and stop anyone getting into it.
I am only transiting through the USA do I still need a TSA lock?
We would recommend one yes. On some flights your luggage may be moved or inspected by the Transport Security Authority (TSA) personnel during transit and so they may damage your luggage or cut off your lock unless you have a TSA verified one.
Is this lock fully verified by the TSA?
Yes - there are two main companies who deal with authorising TSA compatibility; Travel Sentry and Safe Skies. This lock is a Travel Sentry authorised lock which you can recognise by the red diamond on the lock.
How does a TSA lock work exactly?
Please read this quote from the TSA website "TSA screens every passenger's baggage before it is placed on an airplane. While our technology allows us to electronically screen bags, there are times when we need to physically inspect a piece of luggage. TSA has worked with several companies to develop locks that can be opened by security officers using universal "master" keys so that the locks may not have to be cut." Essentially it stops your luggage getting damaged if the TSA need to force their way into your bag.
