Can I use my hair straighteners with this voltage converter?
It has been brought to our attention that the wattage displayed on some hair straighteners and similar products is not the highest wattage used by them. When heating up, some straighteners will draw an initial higher wattage than stated on the appliance which in turn will blow both our 45, 100 and possibly even our 300 watt converters! To avoid any complications or damage to your appliances we would recommend using our Babyliss Dual Voltage Hair Straighteners.
Do I really need the 3 to 2 pin adapter as well?
We recommend this if you are unsure what plug sockets will be present at your destination. The 3 to 2 pin adapter works by blocking out the earth pin and converting the plug on the converter to a 2 pin plug. It is best to take one of these adapters just in case there are only 2 pin sockets where you are staying!
